The cottage is situated in the heart of the peaceful village of Dean on the edge of the unspoilt Northern Lake District, 5 miles south of the pleasant town of Cockermouth , bustling market town of Keswick 11 miles.

With the secret garden , it is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Ideally situated for exploring the Northern Lakes -- Loweswater, Crummock, Buttermere, Bassenthwaite , Ennerdale , mountains, glorious valleys, historic, cultural & family attractions are worth visiting.

The increasingly popular West Cumbria , The Solway Coast are a short distance, you can see the famous sunset over Criffel , Carlisle & the Scottish Borders are easily accessible.

It is an ideal all year round base for walking , climbing, cycling, riding , fishing, golf & bird watching -- Bassenthwaite Ospreys are nearby.

Excellent food at the local pubs.
